Implant Restoration

Dental implants are metal posts that work as a substitute for a real tooth root. The metal posts are placed in the bone under the gum where a tooth is missing. The bone will then heal around the metal post and a crown can then be placed on the post making this implant look like your natural tooth.

Implants help retain bone that would otherwise be lost because of a phenomenon called bone resorption. When a root is missing the bone will basically deteriorate because there is no root to hold the bone in place. When an implant is placed, the bone adheres to the implant and will not deteriorate which allows the implant to act as a strong foundation for biting and chewing. Dental implants may also be used to secure bridges and dentures when more than one tooth is missing.

Tooth Whitening

A bright white smile can make a dramatic impact on your appearance. There are a variety of products and procedures available to help you improve the look of your smile. If you would like to improve the color of your smile ask us what treatment is best for you!  We offer the latest in whitening technology!

Crown and Bridgework

A crown is used to cover a tooth and bring it back to its normal shape and size, strengthening and improving the appearance of a tooth. Crowns are placed when a tooth is generally broken down and fillings won't solve the problem. If a tooth is cracked, a crown holds the tooth together to seal the cracks so the damage doesn't get worse. Crowns are also used to support a large filling when there isn't enough of the tooth remaining.

Cosmetic Dentistry

A smile can be the most eye-catching feature of a face. With dentistry's many advances, you no longer have to settle for stained, chipped, or misshapen teeth. You now have choices that can help you smile with confidence.

Even the most subtle change in your smile can make a dramatic difference in the way you look and feel about yourself. Ask Dr. Patterson about the options most suitable for you, what your expectations are and the dental fees involved. Some options are:

  • Tooth whitening
  • Bonding
  • Enamel shaping
  • Porcelain Veneers/Crowns

TMJ Appliances

TMJ actually stands for temporomandibular joint, which is the name of the joint located in the front of the ear. Many people suffer from temporomandibular disorders and chronic facial pain in or around the ear, tenderness of the jaw, clicking or popping noises when opening the mouth, or even headaches and neck aches. These symptoms could be a sign of a toothache, sinus infection, or an early stage of periodontal disease. Sometimes the pain is related to the facial muscles and the temporomandibular joint. Treatment options may include occlusal equilibration, stress reducing exercises, muscle relaxants, and wearing a mouth protector to prevent teeth grinding.
